In humble beginnings in 1998, Scott and Lee Salisbury started a small mobile pool service business, Sapphire Coast Wetwork Pool & Spa Maintenance. Over the years it has grown and developed into what it is today 'Sapphire Wetwork Pool & Spa' with both a retail and service division.
A family owned and operated business, Sapphire Wetwork prides itself on providing personal friendly expert service. Always striving to keep up to date with new products and industry developments, ensuring our customers receive the best products, service and information available.
Scott is 'the Brawn' - our head service technician and company director, and driver of our Mother Ship - as he likes to call the big van. Fully Accredited Service Technician and Licensed with the Department of Fair Trading for Swimming Pool and Spa Maintenance and Service, Scott has 17 years of experience in the pool industry and a further 9 years in water and waste water management. Scott is responsible for most of the equipment repairs, new equipment installations, liner replacements, heating installations and major clean ups. His quality plumbing work has been admired by industry stalwarts. When he’s not out working on pools, you’ll find him spending time with his boys down the beach or riding motorised skateboards.
Lee is 'the Brain' – the Manager of Sapphire Wetwork – Lee is the face of the retail side of the business, but also tries to keep the service boys in line......you'll find her behind the counter in the shop, working away on the computer – or the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. A wealth of information, Lee is a fully accredited service technician with 17 years experience, and prides herself on learning everything about anything in the pool industry – if she doesn’t already know it she won’t hesitate to find out about it.
Lee has been awarded SPASA NSW Retail Person of the Year 2012 & 2013 and SPRAA National Retail Person of the Year 2014. She is held in high regard in the industry for her knowledge on pool heating – including solar and heat pumps, pool filtration and especially pool chemicals and chemistry, and she is more than happy to impart her knowledge to her customers. She is also a trainer for SPASA NSW and mentors and trains other pool industry businesses
Lee is also responsible for ALL of the day to day running of the business, so given her busy schedule- if your account or quote is delayed she apologises in advance When not working, you will find Lee helping out with reading at her boy’s school and the school P&C, being a soccer mum in winter or sitting at the beach in summer worrying while the boys are surfing.
John is our right hand man and our ‘little’ van driver. John has over 6 years of experience in the pool industry, having worked in the busy Sydney pool service industry, which has given him a great deal of knowledge in all things ‘pool’. He is responsible for the Regular Maintenance side of the service division, and is only too happy to assist you with any issue you are having with your pool. John may be known to some of clients – as he used to own and operate Jim’s Mowing service business locally for several years. When John is not busy working – he’s lovingly renovating his home with his partner Lynn and their dog Bella.
Laurie is Lee’s trusty side kick in the shop and will be well known (or at least a familiar face) to many of our clients as he is a born and bred local. Laurie has over 30 years of experience with pools, having been heavily involved in the day to day operations of the commercial pool at what was South Haven Caravan Park, then taking on the role as Aquatic Manager at the Pambula Aquatic Centre and more recently was heavily involved in the development and action of the Water Play area at the Tathra Beach Family Park. Laurie holds a Certificate 3 in Aquatics and Recreation and has a great knowledge base particularly for all commercial pool maintenance and operations issues/requirements. Laurie’s friendly service style and megawatt smile is sure to endear him to many a customer. When Laurie is not busy working, he loves taking his motorbike out for a spin and spending quality time with his gorgeous wife Di and their son Sam.
The Salisbury boys – Cooper, Ashton and Lawson. Many a customer can recall the pre-shop days when Lee would on occasion assist Scott with onsite service work – with a protruding pregnant belly, our family has developed over the years along with the business. Now we are grooming our boys to help out in the business and you are sure to see the boys in the shop or in the van with Scott over the coming years. Cooper can often be found in the shop on a Saturday morning – stocking the shelves, assisting customers to the car with their purchases and even testing pool water. The photos that adorn our vans and our shop are our boys – we’re just a little bit proud don’t you think? But what says ‘swimming pool’ more than kids having fun in the water!
